A document is an exclusive image or a series of images characterized by a special creation of date, author, recipient, document type etc. Document Unitization is the process of determining the bigin doc and end doc of a document. It can also be called as Document Determination.

There are two types of Document unitization services:

Logical Document Determination (LDD): LDD is the process in which the attachment range and the document ranges within the attachment range are determined. The document ranges are determined by inspecting all the loose pages to determine where a document starts and ends and the attachment ranges are determined by their relationship with prior or subsequent documents.

Objective coding is the process of extracting information from the face of the document into a searchable database. This can also be called as data indexing.
